Construction instructions
Mixing ratio Base material ( zinc paste): curing agent = 2 : 1 (weight ratio )
When adding the curing agent to the base material (zinc powder slurry), it is necessary to use a power tool to continuously stir until the paint is completely mixed. To prevent the paint from clogging the gun, a filter can be used before spraying.
Mixed use period 23 ℃: 8 Hours, 30 °C: 6 Hours: Brush or roller application is not suitable
Airless spray nozzle pressure: 12-15 MPa
Nozzle aperture: 0.53-0.64 mm
Spraying angle: 40-80 Spend
Dilution ratio: 0-3% (volume ratio)
Air spray nozzle pressure: 0.4-0.5 MPa
Nozzle aperture: 1.8-2.2 mm
dilution ratio: 0-10% (volume ratio )
Thinner / Cleaning Agent 607 Thinner
Avoid adding too much diluent , otherwise it will reduce its anti-sagging and prolong the curing time. Note: During the spraying process, the paint needs to be stirred continuously at a low speed with a power tool to prevent the zinc powder from settling.
Drying time and time between recoating (1)
Substrate conditions | Dry time | Working time | Recoating interval (2) | |
Shortest | longest | |||
Humidity 30% , 23 ℃ | 3 minutes | 1 hour | 24 hours | Indefinite |
Humidity 50% , 23 ℃ | 2 minutes | 30 minutes | 24 hours | Indefinite |
Humidity 100% , 23 ℃ | 1 minute | 20 minutes | 24 hours | Indefinite |
(1)The data is for reference only. The actual drying time and recoating interval depend on factors such as paint dry film thickness, ventilation, humidity and previous paint.
(2)The surface must be dry and free of zinc salts and other contaminants before overcoating. A sealer coat should be applied before other paints are applied. Alkyd paints should not be used after this shop primer.
Surface treatment
To SSPC-SP1 , remove all grease from the surface with solvent; remove welding residue from the surface and grind the weld and sharp edges with appropriate methods; sandblast to Sa2.5 level ( ISO 8501:1 ).
To ensure the best corrosion protection, the steel should be painted immediately after being sandblasted to the specified requirements.
Construction conditions
The surface temperature of the substrate should be at least 3 °C higher than the air dew point temperature. The temperature and relative humidity should be measured near the substrate.
The surface temperature of the substrate should not exceed 40°C . Otherwise, a suitable spraying method should be selected and appropriate diluent should be added as required to prevent dry spraying. In extreme cases, the dry film thickness of the coating can be appropriately reduced to prevent sagging.
The paint temperature must be above 15 °C, otherwise thinner should be added to achieve the required viscosity for construction.
Recommended Package
The following are typical coating systems:
704(TO1.53) Inorganic zinc silicate shop primer 1 × 20μm (dry film thickness )
Store
It must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The storage environment should be dry, cool, well-ventilated, avoid high temperatures and stay away from fire. The packaging container must be kept sealed. The storage validity period is no more than 6 months.
