Transosil Alμminiμm 5.16

Product Overview
Transosil Alμminiμm 5.16 is a pure silicone resin high temperature resistant topcoat that can withstand continuous high temperatures of 450 °C and intermittent high temperatures of up to 600 °C. This product is applied on top of Transozinc Silicate 1.52 inorganic zinc silicate primer to provide excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. For the best high temperature resistance, this product must be applied directly to the steel surface.

Guidelines for air spraying

Nozzle pressure : 0.3-0.5 MPa

Dilution ratio: 0-5% (volume ratio)

Suitable for brush or roller application , dilution ratio : 0-5% (volume ratio ) diluent / Cleaning agent 601 Special diluent

Nozzle aperture: 0.22-0.38 mm

Nozzle aperture: 1.2-1.5 mm

Avoid adding excessive thinner, otherwise it will reduce its anti-sagging and gloss of the coating.

(1)The curing of this product requires continuous heating. The following is the recommended heating process:

It gradually heats up to 100 ° C within 30 minutes, 200 ° C within 1 hour, and 450 ° C within 2 hours

If you need to speed up the curing time, you can use TO5.16B in a ratio of 20 : 0.6 ( weight ratio ). Drying agent.

(2)The surface must be dry and free of dirt before recoating. Adhesion is best when the previous coating is completely dry before applying the subsequent coating. If the coating is exposed for a long time, the surface must be roughened before recoating to ensure adhesion between the coatings.

Surface treatment

Steel SSPC-SP1 According to the regulations , use solvent to remove all grease on the surface ; remove surface welding residues and grind welds and sharp edges with appropriate methods ; sandblast until S a 2 . 5 Grade ( ISO 8501 : 1 ) . The steel surface shall be painted immediately after being sandblasted to the specified requirements .

Repairing the corroded part must first be polished with a power tool to St3 Grade or sandblasting to Sa2 or better( ISO8501:1 ).

Construction conditions

The surface temperature of the substrate should be at least 3 °C higher than the air dew point temperature, and the relative humidity should not exceed 85% (the temperature and relative humidity should be measured near the substrate).

The surface temperature of the substrate should not exceed 40°C . Otherwise, a suitable spraying method should be selected and appropriate diluent should be added as required to prevent dry spraying. In extreme cases, the dry film thickness of the coating can be appropriately reduced to prevent sagging.

When painting in a confined space, proper ventilation should be provided to ensure the paint film cures. The paint temperature must be above 15 °C, otherwise thinner should be added to achieve the required viscosity for construction.
